Throne Chairs are our grandest seating: ornately carved, generously proportioned and plushly cushioned, made to be the single most photographed object in a room. They are almost never hired for a whole room — one for the guest of honour, or a pair for a couple, is the standard hire, and there is no minimum quantity so that is entirely straightforward. Because the chair is a focal point, where it sits matters as much as the chair itself: it needs a backdrop behind it and enough clear space around it for guests to be photographed alongside.
