The Star Jump is a bungee trampoline: a jumper is clipped into a full-body harness attached to elastic bungee cords on a rigged frame, then bounces on a trampoline while the cords carry them several times higher than they could jump alone. It is the highest-thrill item we hire and it is nothing like a bouncing castle — it is an operator-run attraction, closer to a fairground ride than to play equipment. Ours has two jump stations side by side, so two people go at once and the queue moves at twice the rate of a single-station rig. A trained operator runs it throughout: fitting the harness, checking the clips, controlling the bounce and bringing the jumper down. That is not optional supervision, it is how the equipment works, and it is included in the hire. Weight and height limits apply, as they do on any bungee attraction — tell us the age range of your guests when booking and we will confirm what suits. It needs 6m x 6m of clear, flat ground, and it is set up on grass. Because the frame is rigged with masts and guy lines rather than simply inflated, allow a longer setup window than for a castle and make sure the site is clear of overhead branches and cables. Professional setup, a trained operator and setdown are included in the hire price at no extra cost. Transport is quoted by location. It is almost always hired alongside a bouncing castle rather than on its own: two stations at a time means a big party will queue, and a castle absorbs the children who are waiting or too young to jump.
