For older children who want more than a paddle, the Portable Swimming Pool gives them a real cool-off dip. It is our deepest hire pool — a sturdy, framed inflatable that holds a good body of water so confident swimmers and pre-teens can sit, float and properly cool down on a scorching Nairobi day. It needs a flat, firm base and a clear footprint, and we keep the depth set for supervised kids rather than adults. This is the pool for a hot-season birthday where the guest of honour is seven, eight or older and wants the day to feel like a proper swim party. We deliver, set the frame on level ground, fill it, and break it down and collect it afterwards.
